Another book in the series about Lucy. She and her ex husband William go to Maine to a house. Trying to stay safe from Covid.

The Lightning-struck Heart
by TJ Klune

This was such a fun, hysterical, and heartwarming story. There was not a chapter where I wasn’t laughing out loud at the ridiculous things the characters said. The audiobook narration was also really well done and added so much to the story.

Verity
by Colleen Hoover

I read this book in three days. It caught my attention from the first chapter. Lowel Ashleigh is an author who is contracted to co-write the last three books in a series by renowned author Verity Crawford. Verity is supposed to be injured from a car accident. Low takes the job intrigued by Jeremy, Verity’s husband and the large advance she will receive. As the story unfolds you do not know what is the truth or not. Is Verity the monster who could put herself ahead of her children or is Jeremy the one that is untrustworthy? This was a very fast past read and I recommend it.

Where Are the Children?
by Mary Higgins Clark

I read this book when it first came out and decided it was worth a revisit before I read the recently released sequel.  It still holds up and makes me realize why I was always on the watch for her next book.  I can't wait to start reading the sequel.

The Kiss Curse
by Erin Sterling

View in Library Catalog

The Kiss Curse is the follow up to Sterling’s The Ex Hex, this time following colorful cousin Gwyn as she falls in love with the proper and starchy Wells Penhallow, brother to Vivi’s new husband Rhys. They deal with a new coven of bad witches, conflicting businesses and an attraction for each other that cannot be ignored. Even Sir Purrcival, Gwyn’s talking cat, is falling for Wells. This book was very entertaining and a quick read. I enjoyed it. Be warned, there are a couple of spicy scenes!!

Wed To The Omega
by Ashe Moon

This was a super sweet MM fated mates omegaverse romance. I liked how Tristen wasn’t a typical omega, he was a fighter just like Loch, his alpha. It was easy to get invested in these characters.

The Colorado Kid
by Stephen King

View in Library Catalog

This story of King’s is told almost entirely in the third person, in the form of elderly newspaper men relaying a mysterious story to their young protégé. What makes this story different from most is that while the facts of the case are revealed, they don’t lead to a solution being revealed. I think this adds to the overall story, although it would, admittedly, be frustrating if all mysteries were presented like this. The title stems from the central character being from Colorado but is found dead on a beach in a small Maine town.
