Very sexy and sexually explicit novel about two people, Hannah and Jack who have both been unsuccessful in past relationships. They enter a fake relationship, both with ulterior motives, but it becomes real.

The Happiness Plan
by Susan Mallery

Another wonderful novel from one of my favorite authors! She brings back Hannah from Sisters by Choice 15 years later. Hannah has formed a new family with her friends Tori and Daphne, as well as the 3 brothers they are involved with. It is beautifully written and the supportive relationships are real. All the women struggle with problems and eventually resolve them. As a bonus, there are furry pets too!

As a huge fan of friends, of course this would be their biography for me. Learned a lot about Matthew Perry, that I did not know. Knew he was a drug addict didn’t know how long though.

Wyatt Storme, a Vietnam vet and former professional football player, is bow hunting in Missouri and stumbles across a marijuana field and is shot at by a sniper and attacked by vicious dogs. He reports the incident to the local Sheriff, who is, conveniently, murdered the next day. Storme starts looking into the situation and uncovers more than he expected, organized crime, drugs, and corruption. He also makes himself someone whom powerful people want dead. A fast, easy read filled with exciting adventure, laced with fun.

Once again, we meet Pendergast, a famous, or perhaps, infamous F.B.I. agent. There is a series of bizarre murders in Miami Beach. Woman are being murdered, their hearts removed, and later deposited on, apparently random, graves. Pendergast has a new supervisor, and in order to remain on the case, Pendergast has to agree to the unthinkable-a partner. He and his partner eventually find a connection. The graves all belong to women who committed suicide. The investigation uncovers a decades old conspiracy; a conspiracy of death. You will have trouble putting this book down.

Anxious People
by Fredrik Backman

Another fabulous book by Fredrik Backman. Again, he chooses different aspects of human nature and provides examples of people's different responses throughout the story. Some of the themes in this story are loneliness, actions people take when they are desperate, and differences in spousal relationships. Several of the characters are dealing with issues around major life changes such as ageing, coping with the loss of a loved one and life after retirement. The major storyline involves a tragic incident that occurred in the town and the different ways it affected each of the characters. The story is often humorous and quirky and includes several unexpected surprises. Overall, an excellent book that I would highly recommend.

The Guinevere Deception

I really enjoyed this Arthurian retelling and that it was focused on Guinevere as the main character. I liked the authors take and her twist on the character, and the ending has me really looking forward to book 2!
